There are some unexpected applications of LPG and this one is again one of them.

LPG can be used as a propellant for airsoft guns. It is an alternative source of power as opposed to spring, motor driven airsoft weapons or other compressed gases like eg CO2. Some manufacturers have begun to produce adapters that attach to small LPG / propane tanks, cylinders, cartridges, available at many retail stores.

The LPG / propane option has become popular due to the fact that the solution is cheaper than other gases, as well as being more widely available compared to eg Green Gas. Although propane alone does not have lubrication in the propellant, this can be remedied by manual lubrication of internal parts before use of the gun. The gas can also be used for Gas Blowback airsoft guns.
