Brick Making Kilns/Ovens
Clay bricks are used in a wide range of construction activities: from houses to factories, and in the construction of tunnels, waterways as well as bridges. However, the clay brick production industry is a major source of air pollution especially developing countries. The major environmental issues to be tackled involve improving the combustion efficiency of existing kilns, and upgrading kilns to newer and more efficient process designs.
LPG has been identified (and is now being used) as a cleaner alternative fuel for the process of brick firing - to raise and maintain the temperature of the kiln to the required level over a few hours, to vitrify the clay bricks. When available, LPG is competitively priced, has significantly less emissions and can increase production quality and speed.
